FAQ

Where is my studio located?
In our beautiful house, in a tiny little village somewhere in the idyllic German countryside—my husband and I call it “Little Bullerbü” 😀 All originals and prints are shipped from here.
Is international shipping possible?

Oh yes! However, there are some restrictions.

EU-Contries
For several years now, a packaging license has been required in order to ship to various EU countries. For some countries, this has become so complicated and costly—unfortunately completely unrelated to the actual shipping volume—that it is currently not financially feasible for me to ship to some EU countries.
The current list of excluded countries:
Bulgaria, France, Greece, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Austria, Poland, Romania, Sweden, Slovakia, Spain, and Cyprus.
If you have a contact person in Germany, we can send your package there and that person can then forward it to you privately.

Non-EU-Countries
Of course, I am also happy to send my art to non-EU countries. Shipping costs vary greatly depending on the country. Therefore, please contact me in advance at art@juliadomenica.com. Possible customs duties and taxes may also apply. You will need to find out about this in advance.
These include, for example, costs for money transfers by credit institutions (e.g., transfer fees, exchange rate fees) or import duties or taxes (e.g., customs duties). Further information can be found, for example, at https://ec.europa.eu/taxation_customs/business/calculation-customs-duties_de and on import sales tax at http://auskunft. ezt-online.de/ezto/Welcome.do and specifically for Switzerland at http://xtares.admin.ch/tares/login/loginFormFiller.do .

What payment options are available?

Let’s keep it simple 😊
There are two payment methods available: prepayment by bank transfer and PayPal.
Would you like to pay by credit card? This is also possible via PayPal.

For deliveries to countries outside the European Union, additional costs may arise in individual cases for which we are not responsible and which must be borne by you. These include, for example, costs for money transfers by credit institutions (e.g., transfer fees, exchange rate fees) or import duties or taxes (e.g., customs duties). Further information can be found, for example, at https://ec.europa.eu/taxation_customs/business/calculation-customs-duties_de and on import sales tax at http://auskunft. ezt-online.de/ezto/Welcome.do and specifically for Switzerland at http://xtares.admin.ch/tares/login/loginFormFiller.do.

When will I receive my order?
All originals and prints are currently shipped from my home in Germany.
Delivery times vary depending on what you order, between 4 and 10 business days for shipping within Germany.

If you are concerned that your order will not arrive on time, please contact me and we will find a solution!

For shipments to other EU countries or non-EU countries, shipping times vary greatly. Therefore, please contact me in advance at art@juliadomenica.com.

What happens if my order is lost?
This is extremely rare, but it can happen. If more than 10 days have passed since the goods were shipped and you have not yet received them, please contact me at art@juliadomenica.com and I will look into the matter!
What happens if my items are damaged during shipping?

I always pack items with the utmost care, using waterproof covers around the artwork and sturdy packaging materials to ensure that the package cannot be easily bent or damaged. If it turns out that your package has been damaged due to my fault, I will of course replace the item or refund the purchase price. Please take photos of the unopened package and any damage immediately and send them to me so that we can resolve the matter.

If the package was mishandled by the postal service, we may be entitled to compensation. If you suspect this is the case, please keep the package as evidence, take photos of the damage immediately, and send them to me.

What about sustainability?
Absolutely—that’s very important to me 🌳.
That’s why I try to use as little plastic as possible when shipping, choose sustainable packaging and packaging materials—such as eco-friendly tape made from natural rubber—and reuse as much as possible.

I also pay attention to sustainability in my work in the studio—whether it’s the choice of watercolors (e.g., honey-based paints), watercolor paper, water consumption, and much more.

I also choose companies that pay attention to sustainability when printing my paintings on canvas.

Unfortunately, I have not yet found a sustainable alternative to plastic for protecting the paintings and prints from moisture during shipping. But I’m staying on top of it and hoping for new developments!

Are commissioned works possible?

Yes, of course! 🧑‍🎨
The possibility of a commissioned work depends on your desired motif and how busy I already am with commissioned works.

Please contact me by email at art@juliadomenica.com .
